FAQs

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, as long as they’re on-leash! Dogs are welcome to join us on the Stride on the Multi-Use Path as well as the Crippen Picnic Area. As always, dogs are not welcome at the Farmer’s Market / BICS.

What time is the March / Parade / Stride?

After the 12PM ferry sails*, we’ll head down the Multi-Use-Path from BICS. More event details available here.

*Be prepared to spread cheer at the start of the route, incase there is a delay with ferry departure, and have a snack handy ;)

What should I bring?

  • Dress for the weather - we're celebrating rain or shine!

  • Rainbow/bright colours are highly encouraged!

  • Picnic lunch and something to share (if you can), the Farmers Market is a great place to pick up some additional snacks ;).

  • Water bottle and anything else you need for a picnic (plates, cups, etc).

  • And of course your Bowen Pride Spirit!

I may need a mobility aid, how can I access medical equipment?

If you require a wheelchair, walker, or other mobility aid, you can borrow one for free from the Bowen Island Library.

See their catalogue for wheelchairwalker, and Mountain Trike borrowing, and to place a hold. Find out more about the Library’s medical equipment lending.

How can I help?
